ARGOS FRAGRANCES Danae EDP 100 ml
Danaë is an oil painting by Gustav Klimt, created in 1907. An example of symbolism, Danaë was a popular subject in the early 1900s for many artists; she was used as the quintessential symbol of divine love and transcendence.
Legend has it that while imprisoned by her father Acrisius, King of Argos, in a bronze tower, Danaë was visited by Zeus (Jupiter to the Romans), here symbolized by the golden rain flowing between her legs. It is clear from the subject's face that she is aroused by the stream of gold.
In this work, she is draped in a royal purple veil that refers to her imperial lineage. Sometime after her celestial visit she gave birth to a son, Perseus, who is later credited in Greek mythology for killing the Gorgon Medusa and saving Andromeda.
Danae by Argos is a sensual and divine fragrance. It begins to awaken the senses by opening with Bergamot and Sicilian Lemon. The seductive heart notes, pungent and spicy with pink pepper, guaiac wood, cedar wood and cashmere wood, slowly pass, teasing the sense of smell in an elegant and refined way, to lead it in a bewitching and carnal wake, thanks to persistent notes of sweet and sticky cistus, spicy patchouli, Mysore sandalwood and intoxicating musk that leave you enchanted by the spell of DANAË.
