It’s 3:00 in the morning and that’s when you need your courage, that’s when you feel alone and you come to terms with what you’re facing; everything seems like an insurmountable mountain.

Your heart beats fast, the anguish grows, you walk relentlessly

into the room, you look out, you see the street lamps with some

light bulbs flickering, even they don’t seem to make it.

Continuous flashes of dark and light, dark and light.

It’s 4:00, then 5:00, and you’re staring into the

void, until you hear the first birds chirping.

The sun is rising, there’s noise in the street and the

enormous mountain is getting smaller and smaller.

It’s 6:30 in the morning, open the window to breathe fresh air, and it’s at that moment, from a small Patisserie, down there, the scent of coffee comes.

The mountain is no longer there.

Because whether you like it or not, all over the world coffee

marks the beginning of a new day. The sun has risen, that

scent of coffee, gives me the strength to go on and start my life

again.

Here in Paris, now everything is much clearer, Merci Cafè.
