Grasse is considered the international capital of perfume, but few know that its original know-how in the 16th century was leather working, especially by Master Glovemakers, whose powerful, animalistic odor could be disturbing. To overcome this, the leather was impregnated with flowers such as iris, violet or rose, which flourished particularly well on the soil of Grasse.

 

Fabrice Pellegrin, son of the village of Grasse, wanted to pay homage to this village that saw him grow, working on a leather note, in memory of the tanneries of the past.

 

The violet leaves create the link between the velvety softness of the leather and the bitterness of the mastic, while the iris brings elegance and roundness to Cuirissime while greedily containing its animality.
