Similar to the heuchera flower referred to as the painter’s dismay, Lily of the Valley might have been named the perfumer's dismay. A slender flower, the epitome of freshness and naturality, which, despite its innocent appearance, is difficult to grow and extract. For over a century perfumers have been challenged to recreate its elusive scent. In 1948 Paul Vacher rose to the occasion and has since been surpassed by the art of Domitille Michalon-Bertier. The master stroke? A modern, 100% synthetic blend Lily of the Valley for pure beauty using new molecules: StarfleurTM with its watery floral character, AmbertonicTM, and SinfonideTM for a puff of musk.
