Created by Greek perfumer Angelos Balamis, Shinanay takes its name from the homophonous interjection “şinanay/σινανάi”,
commonly used in both Turkish and Greek to express joy and euphoria.
Starting from this word that unites continents and cultures, the fragrance expresses the artistic values shared by both
shores of the Aegean Sea, their common sense of warmth and hospitality, fullness and exuberance. Absolutely dynamic and
playful, it intertwines the intoxicating aromas that characterize both the coasts of Greece and Anatolia, capturing their vitality and charm.
Fringed with tactile balms and caramelized resins, a heart of narcotic flowers - gardenia, tuberose and magnolia - moves in the
composition, its indolic sweetness pulsing against the luminous verticality of galbanum and lily of the valley. A play of contrasts is created
between the lime-green freshness of mastic and elemi and the warmth of porcini mushrooms and opoponax,
with their nuances of caramel and chocolate distilled in a voluptuous amber glaze. Indian sandalwood and Himalayan
cedar brown the exhausted petals, lending their lactonic facets to the exciting effusions of civet,
while oakmoss, in a dark finale, counterbalances the citruses and aldehydes of the top notes.
Dynamic and captivating, Shinanay is the essence of joy.
