Mal-Aimé by Parfum d'Empire, from the French means "unloved" referring to the mauvaises herbes or weeds. Spontaneous, carefree, perennial, indomitable plants. Despised and banned in perfumery.

 

Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, drawing from his deepest emotions, gives voice to one of the most common plants in Corsica but also one of the rarest because it is totally new in the world of perfumery: the Inula Odorosa.

 

Inula graveolens for botanists – widespread throughout the Corsican maquis, it is characterized by its yellow flowers. Over the hours, its essential oil unfolds wildly generous facets with herbaceous hints, but also sweet as honey. A sunny scent like the color of its flowers, but also woody, saline, musky like the surrounding nature.

Around this beautiful and unknown rebel, there is the retinue of all the unloved thistles, nettles, brambles and roots that Marc-Antoine Corticchiato calls to celebrate, once again, his native Corsica.

 

Mal-Aimé by Parfum D'Empire is a disruptive, avant-garde fragrance, never smelled before... naturally noble. Unquestionably iconoclast. A perfume like no other.
