The two children are traveling with their grandfather who served in Milan as an officer of the Italian Cavalry as a young man. To their eyes the city appears huge, intoxicating and full of bright lights that never stop pulsing like the stars in the sky. The summer air is full of smells and perfumes that come from every corner, as the two walk through the streets of Brera up to the dome of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Here appear the ambergris and then black Oud from India and again the imperial musk with over 45 years of maceration together with the red patchouli sweetened by the vanilla flower of Tahiti and sandalwood bark.
